Let's have a brief mention on the strategy options for the race today. One-stop strategies dominated at Silverstone last year, though there was a key moment when the Safety Car was needed on Lap 33 after an engine fire for the Haas of Kevin Magnussen.

Should we have another cool, dry race like 2023 (again, eyes on the radars for that one!) then it’s likely to be a similar story regarding one stops.

“We think everybody will go to a one-stop race, and all three compounds are in play,” said Pirelli chief engineer Simone Berra.

“The C3 offers extra grip at the start but then you have to manage the stint, while C1 and C2 are more consistent and offer the possibility of going longer on the stint, which may allow drivers to exploit a Safety Car – or perhaps other situations with approaching rain. It’s very interesting!”
